Please be aware of a phone and text scam circulating at the moment claiming to be from Amazon, stating you have recently purchased/someone has tried to purchase an iPhone on your account. Do NOT click on any links, open attachments, or call numbers shown in the suspicious messageVerify safely: On a different device or phone, open the Amazon app or type amazon.co.uk into your browser yourself - do not follow message links - then check your ordersCall Amazon only from a number you find on their official site or in the app. If you are unsure, call from a separate phoneChange your Amazon password and enable two-step verification if you see anything odd or if you clicked the link by mistakeCheck your bank/card activity. If there are unauthorised charges, contact your bank immediately and tell them you may be a victim of fraud.Report the message to Amazon via the official help/contact section of the app or website, and report the scam to your local fraud authority (Action Fraud)If you already entered personal data or payment details after clicking a link, treat it as compromised - change passwords, contact your bank and report it.
